INDEMNIFICATION

(a) I have read the supplementary regulations issued for this event and agree to be bound by them and by the General Competition Rules and Regulations of MI including the guidelines and regulations contained in Motorsport Ireland’s Code of Conduct for Children’s Sport. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry or of my being permitted to take part in this event I agree to save harmless and keep indemnified the Clare Motor Club (Organising Club), Irish Automobile Club Ltd. t/a Royal Irish Automobile Club, Irish Motorsport Federation Ltd. t/a Motorsport Ireland, and their respective officials, servants, representatives and agents from and against all actions, claims, costs, expenses and demands in respect of death, injury, loss of or damage to the person or property of myself, my driver(s), passenger(s) or mechanic(s) (as the case may be) howsoever caused arising out of or in connection with this entry or my taking part in this event and notwithstanding that the same may have been contributed to or occasioned by the negligence of the said bodies, their officials, servants, representatives or agents. Furthermore, in respect of any parts of this event on ground where Third Party Insurance is not required by law, this Agreement shall in addition to the parties named above extend to all and any other competitor(s) and their servants and agents and to all actions, claims, costs, expenses and demands in respect of loss of or damage to the person or property of myself, my driver(s), passenger(s) or mechanic(s).

(b) I declare that to the best of my belief the driver(s), passenger(s) possess the standard of competence necessary for an event of the type to which this entry relates and that the car entered is suitable and roadworthy for the event having regard to the course and the speeds which will be reached.

 

(c) I understand that should I at the time of this event be suffering from any disability whether permanent, temporary or otherwise which is likely to affect prejudicially my normal control of my automobile, I may not take part unless I have declared such disability to MI, who have, following such declaration issued a licence which permits me to do so.

 

(d) I undertake that at the time of the event to which this entry relates I shall be in possession of a current certificate of medical fitness. In the case of MI Licence Holders, only certificates on the official MI or FIA Medical Forms will be accepted.

 

(e) Any indemnity and/or declaration as prescribed by sub-paragraphs (a) and (b) above which is signed by a person under the age of 18 years shall be countersigned by that person’s parent or guardian, whose full names and address shall be given. Furthermore, the parents and/or guardians of persons under 18 years of age shall grant permission to MI and the Irish Sports Council to carry out tests in accordance with the Irish Anti-Doping Rules (Rule No 139) in the following form:

I/We hereby grant permission to MI and the Irish Sports Council to carry out tests as set out in Rule No 139 of the GCRs in accordance with the Irish Anti-Doping Rules.”

 

(f) I agree to abide by and be bound by the Motorsport Ireland Social Media Policy of conduct as per Appendix 126 of the current MI yearbook.

Grass Surface Autocross

Round 5 of

The Naas Driving Academy National Autocross Championship

This will be an open Grass Surface Autocross to be held under the international sporting code of the FIA, the GCR’S of motorsport Ireland including appendix 85.1 & 85.2 of the current motorsport Ireland yearbook, these supplementary regulations and other instructions that may be issued. Motorsport Ireland Permit No 17/100 has been issued for the event. The organizers have reserved the right to cancel or postpone the event or part of it in exceptional circumstances.

The event takes place at Toormore, Ruan Co. Clare. Co ordinates: 52.934942,-8.970986

Mechanical Scrutiny will be in service area.

TIMETABLE

Scrutiny & Check In: 9.15am – 10.30am

Marshall Briefing: 10.30am

Drivers Briefing: 10.45am

Practice: 11.00am Sharp

1st timed run: 11.30am Sharp

Entries are open to all drivers whom hold a current license and log book, which must be produced at scrutiny.

Entries are open on publication of these regulations

Competitors will be excluded from the results for the following offences.

  1. Failure to wear safety belt and crash helmet of the approved type while on the course.

  2. Failure to have appropriate type fire extinguisher in the car at all times during the event

  3. Failure to pass scrutiny or to arrive at scrutiny after practice has begun.

  4. Failure to obey a reasonable request from an official.

  5. Use of spikes, studs, chains and altered tyre patterns.

Scrutiny Requirements.

All cars must pass scrutiny

All cars must be fitted with fire extinguishers of approved type

All cars must be fitted with full roll cage and have laminated windscreens.

All cars must be fitted with FIA approved seats.

Fire proof clothing must be worn as per MI regulations.

Overhead/ roof skid pans and side netting are compulsory on specials.

Seats, safety belts and helmets of approved type must be used. See specification in current yearbook and latest MI bulletins.

Drivers of specials and buggies must be over 18.

Classes

Class 1 Saloon and sports cars up to 1450cc with engine over driven wheels

Class 2 Saloon and sports cars 1451cc to 1650cc with engine over driven wheels

Class 3 All other saloons and sports cars up to 1650cc

Class 4 Saloon and sports cars over 1651cc with engine over driven wheels

Class 5 All other Sports Cars and Saloons not qualifying for classes 1-4, super saloons & all 4wd cars will run in this class

Class 6 Motorcycle Engined Specials, including Buggies over 601cc. Only open to competitors 18 Years and over

Class 7 Car Engined Specials. Motorcycle engines not allowed. Only open to competitors 18 Years and over

Class 8 Intermediate Class for 16 – 18 Year Olds holding a Speed National B Licence in Saloon cars up to 1650cc

Class 9 Junior class for 14-16 year olds holding a ‘junior’ licence in saloon cars up to 1450cc

Class 10 Motorcycle Engined Specials, including Buggies up to 600cc. Only open to competitors 18 years and over.

AWARDS

FTD, 1ST, 2ND & 3RD in each class of the day. FTD: Fastest Time of the Day award to Fastest Saloon Driver (Class 1, 2, 3 & 4), Fastest Super Saloon Driver (Class 5) and Fastest Special/Buggy Driver (Class 6 ,7 & 10). Ladies Award, Novice Award, Best CMC. Additional awards may be presented at club discretion. Responsibility lies with the competitor to be entered for Novice award

Protests will only be accepted as per MI regulations. No case for force majeure will be considered once a competitor has started the event.

THE CLERK OF THE COURSE HAS THE RIGHT TO REFUSE AN ENTRY without having to assign a reason.
